In black, the rings almost vanish against a dark ceiling or evening sky seen through a stairwell window — all you see is the light itself, clean and circular, stacked asymmetrically in the vertical space. In gold, the aluminum catches ambient light and adds a warm metallic presence even during the day when the LEDs are off. The asymmetry is the point — unlike tiered ring chandeliers where everything is centered and concentric, these rings deliberately drift off-center, creating a sense of movement and tension that makes the stairwell feel alive rather than decorated.
