Description

The Cluster Glass Chandelier scatters 15 or 30 individually hand-blown glass shades at staggered heights below a matte black canopy — a random-drop arrangement, like pebbles dropped into water, each shade settling at its own depth. The glass sits between transparent and frosted: opaque enough to hide the bulb, translucent enough to sense the light move as you shift your angle. Every shade takes an included, replaceable E26 LED (the standard household base), fully dimmable from bright to a candlelit glow where closer shades burn brighter and higher ones fade into haze.

These are tall fixtures: the 15-light hangs 118 inches and needs 15 ft+ ceilings for dining use; the 30-light hangs 157 inches (13.1 ft) and wants 16 ft+. Both require reinforced ceiling support; the 30-light (51.6 lbs) needs a joist-mounted brace.

Where It Fits

Staircase (30-light): at 157 inches, it fills a two-story stairwell with a scattered field of glowing glass — a dense cluster from the ground floor, a constellation at eye level from the landing. You walk through the light as you climb.

Two-story foyer (15- or 30-light): centered over the entry, the matte black hardware melts into ceiling shadow and the glass forms float alone.

Dining room (15-light): requires 15 ft+ ceilings (118" fixture plus table clearance). The random drop pools warm light unevenly — brighter at the center, softer at the edges — a candlelit effect without candles, suited to dinners that run late.

Design & Installation

Each shade is blown into a rounded, irregular form — part egg, part stone — so no two installations are ever quite alike. During installation the electrician sets each cable's height individually: decide your shape beforehand — a tighter cluster reads denser and more intimate, a wider spread more diffused. Custom canopy sizes and cable lengths on request. Licensed electrician required; budget 1.5–2.5 hours.

Q: What does "random drop" actually mean — is it random every time? A: The cables come at varied preset lengths, and your electrician adjusts each one during installation to create an organic, scattered appearance. The exact positioning is flexible — you can direct your electrician to cluster the shades tightly (denser, more dramatic) or spread them widely (more diffused, more atmospheric). Once set, the arrangement stays fixed. It is not truly "random" — it is deliberately arranged to look organic.
Q: E26 is a standard bulb base — can I use any E26 LED? A: Yes. We include 3W, 3000K warm white E26 LED bulbs, but you can use any E26 LED that fits inside the 5.1" × 5.5" shade opening. For a warmer tone, try 2700K bulbs. For brighter output, try 5W bulbs. We recommend staying at 3000K or below for the most flattering warm glow. Avoid CFL bulbs — they do not dim smoothly and their shape may not fit inside the shade.
Q: I want to use this over a dining table but my ceiling is only 10 feet — will 118 inches be too long? A: The 15-light version at 118 inches (9.8 feet) overall would leave only 2.4 inches of clearance on a 10-foot ceiling — too close. However, the cables are adjustable and can be shortened significantly. Your electrician can reduce the overall height to 80–90 inches, which places the lowest shade approximately 30–36 inches above a standard dining table on a 10-foot ceiling. The trade-off is a more compressed random scatter, but the effect remains beautiful.
Q: How does the matte black finish compare to a brass or chrome fixture? A: Matte black is the most visually neutral metallic finish — it recedes into the ceiling and shadow, making the glass shades the sole focal point. Brass would add warmth but also visual weight. Chrome would add sparkle but compete with the glass for attention. If your interior uses mixed metals, the matte black canopy will not clash with brass doorknobs, chrome appliances, or gold cabinet hardware — it coexists quietly with all of them.
Q: What if one of the 30 glass shades breaks? A: Under our 4-year warranty, we ship a replacement shade free within 3 business days. Each shade is individually removable — you unscrew the E26 bulb, detach the shade from its holder, and replace it without affecting any other shade. No rewiring, no disassembly.
Q: Does this work with 220V in Europe or Australia? A: Yes. This fixture supports 110–240V. E26 LED bulbs are standard in North America; for European installations (which typically use E27 sockets), E26 bulbs are physically compatible with E27 sockets — the thread pitch is nearly identical and they fit without adapters.
Q: Can the canopy or cable length be customized? A: Yes. Contact us before ordering if you need a larger canopy, a different canopy shape, or extended cable lengths for ceilings above 16 feet. Custom modifications are available on request — discuss your ceiling height and layout with us and we will prepare the fixture accordingly.
