The LED is hidden between them, and when it illuminates, the light escapes upward and downward through the gap between the two crescents. The wood half filters and warms the light on one side; the brass-toned metal reflects and sharpens it on the other. The result is a glow that is simultaneously warm and defined — soft where the wood diffuses it, crisp where the metal bounces it onto the surface below.

In light wood, the moons read as pale, Scandinavian, restrained — they almost float against a white ceiling.
