Description

The Glass Molecular Chandelier follows the visual language of chemistry: glass orbs on rigid metal arms at fixed angles, each arm a bond, each orb an atom. The arms extend from a central hub into a three-dimensional lattice of connected spheres that reads as both lighting and sculpture. Choose Gold or Black in 5-, 10-, 15- or 21-head sizes. Each orb's E26 LED (5W, 3000K) is included, replaceable and fully dimmable.

The 21-head spans 68 inches (over 5.5 feet) — one of our widest fixtures. At 18.1–29.8 lbs, standard box for the 5- and 10-head, reinforced brace for the 15- and 21-head.

A Molecular Lattice

Each arm represents a bond, each orb an atom, extending from the hub at specific angles into a lattice that occupies space the way a real molecular model does. E26 is the standard US household socket, making this one of the easiest fixtures to maintain.

Where It Fits

Dining room (10 or 15-head): the 10-head (47.2" wide, only 18" tall) is a broad canopy close to the ceiling for standard rooms; the 15-head adds vertical depth (31.5" tall) for 9 ft+ ceilings.

Living room (15 or 21-head): the 21-head (68") fills the ceiling — in Gold, a warm constellation of light. Where people walk underneath, allow about 10 ft (15-head) or 11 ft (21-head) so the lowest globe stays 7 feet above the floor.

Bedroom or study (5-head): a compact 15.3" sculptural accent without overwhelming a smaller room.

Commercial or hospitality (21-head): a dramatic statement in restaurants, lobbies and retail.

Q: What finishes are available? A: Gold or Black, applied to the arms, hub and canopy. Every size — 5, 10, 15 or 21 heads — is offered in both finishes.
Q: The 10-head is 47.2" wide but only 18" tall — why is it so flat? A: The 10-head version uses a horizontal molecular arrangement — the arms extend outward rather than upward and downward. This makes it ideal for rooms with standard 8-ft ceilings where vertical space is limited but horizontal spread is available. It sits close to the ceiling like a molecular ceiling medallion.
Q: How does this compare to the Glass Ball Balance Chandelier? A: The Balance ($329–$589) uses frosted glass on criss-crossing balance arms — 3 or 9 globes, antique brass, compact. The Molecular ($466–$1,485) uses glass orbs on molecular-form arms — 5 to 21 orbs, up to 68" wide. Choose Balance for compact mid-century structure; choose Molecular for large-scale scientific sculpture.
Q: Why is Black cheaper than Gold at some sizes? A: The gold finish requires an additional plating process that adds a small production cost. The material quality and construction are identical. The difference is $13 at 5 heads, $54 at 10 heads and $58 at 15 heads; the 21-head is the same price in both finishes.
Q: At 5W per bulb and 21 bulbs (105W), how bright is the 21-head version? A: 105W at 112 lm/W produces approximately 11,760 lumens — very bright, equivalent to roughly 700W of incandescent. The 21 orbs distribute this across a 68" span, so no single point is blinding. The brightness-adjustable function is essential — 40–60% is a comfortable everyday setting for the 21-head.
Q: Can I use smart dimming? A: Yes. E26 is the standard US socket — compatible with every smart dimmer on the market.
Q: Does this work with 220V in Europe or Australia? A: Yes. Supports 110–240V worldwide. Use E27-base bulbs in European/Australian sockets (same physical size as E26).
