Description

The Lenses Pendant Light doesn't shade light — it collects and redirects it. Where most fixtures wrap glass around a bulb to soften the output, each optical glass lens gathers ambient light from windows and wall reflections and refracts it alongside its own LED — so the effect shifts through the day, morning sun differing from afternoon light and from the LED alone at night. Choose 1, 3, 6 or 9 lenses in an erratic freeform arrangement — balanced but never symmetrical, like dappled sunlight.

At 9W per lens, the highest per-light-point wattage in our catalog, a single lens gives about 560 lumens (a 50W incandescent) and the 9-lens about 5,000 — enough to be a large room's primary light source, and fully dimmable through a built-in triac dimming driver on any standard wall dimmer. All lenses run 2700K extra-warm white — the candlelight end of our catalog. At 5.1–22.5 lbs, every size mounts to a standard junction box.

UL Listed · CE Certified · 100–240V · Free insured shipping · 30-day returns · 4-year warranty with free replacement parts.

Design & Craftsmanship

Optical Glass, Not Just Diffusion

The freeform spacing is deliberately erratic — not a grid, not a circle, but an asymmetric formation where some areas below receive overlapping light from several lenses and others from just one. The result is layered illumination with organic variation. At 9W per lens each element is substantially brighter than the 2–3W LEDs used across most of our catalog: this is a fixture built to light large rooms with genuine optical power.

Where It Fits

Living room (6 or 9 lenses): the 9-lens at 81W total amply lights a large room, the freeform spacing giving organic variation across the seating area — no two spots receive identical illumination.

Dining room (3 or 6 lenses): the lenses direct layered light onto the table surface, and the 2700K extra-warm tone flatters food and faces.

Foyer or lobby (6 or 9 lenses): the freeform arrangement makes an immediate impression, the lenses catching entry light from doors and windows.

Accent (1 lens): a single optical element over a reading chair, console table or gallery wall — focused, warm illumination.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What makes an "optical lens" different from regular glass? A: Regular glass transmits light in a relatively uniform way — some diffusion, some refraction, but mostly transparent passage. An optical lens is specifically shaped to collect, focus, and redirect light — it has curved surfaces engineered to bend light rays at controlled angles. This fixture's lenses are designed to gather ambient room light and LED output simultaneously and redistribute them into new, layered patterns.
Q: The single lens is $463 — why is the per-lens price higher than many multi-light fixtures? A: Each lens is an optical-grade glass element with a 9W integrated LED — substantially more powerful and more precisely engineered than the 2–3W G4 and G9 bulbs used in many of our other fixtures. The optical glass itself is more expensive to manufacture than standard decorative glass. The per-lens cost reflects genuine optical engineering, not just decorative glass shaping.
Q: Is this dimmable? A: The product description does not specify native dimming. The integrated 9W LEDs run at fixed output. For dimming capability, consult your electrician about compatible inline dimming solutions. The 2800K warm tone at full output is already inherently soft and non-harsh.
Q: How does the "freeform spacing" look — is it random? A: The spacing is deliberately irregular but visually balanced — the lenses are not randomly scattered but intentionally positioned so that the overall composition feels asymmetric yet harmonious. Think of a museum mobile by Alexander Calder: nothing is symmetric, but everything is balanced. The freeform arrangement ensures the light below is layered and varied rather than uniform.
Q: How does this compare to the Sparkling LED Chandelier (artisan glass)? A: The Sparkling LED ($692–$1,347) uses handcrafted "super glass" globes that refract light into random sparkle patterns — decorative, organic, warm. The Lenses Pendant ($463–$2,987) uses optical-grade lenses that collect and redirect light into controlled, layered patterns — precision, architectural, innovative. Choose Sparkling for artisan warmth; choose Lenses for optical precision.
Q: Can I customize the cable length? A: Yes. Add a note at checkout with your desired cable length, or contact us after ordering.
Q: Does this work with 220V in Europe or Australia? A: Yes. Supports 100–240V worldwide.

Returns | Warranty

30-day returns — full refund, no restocking fee.

Test it before you commit. Unbox the fixture and briefly power it on to check the light and color temperature in your space. What makes an item non-returnable is permanent installation — wiring it into your ceiling.

Return in original packaging with all protective inserts. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. US customers return to a US address — no international shipping.

Damaged on arrival? Email photos to info@auroraeshop.com within 72 hours and we will arrange a free replacement or full refund, covering shipping in both directions.

Prefer store credit? Choose 110% instead of a refund — 10% extra, valid 24 months.

4-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If a covered component fails, we ship the replacement part free of charge.

Ordering six or more of the same fixture, or buying at trade pricing? Separate terms apply — see our Trade, Project & Volume Order terms.
