Description

The Marble Pendant Light glows — not metaphorically. Each 4.7-inch globe is turned from genuine marble, thin enough that light passes through the calcite and emerges diffused, warm and textured by the veining. No two glow alike: where the veins run dense the light dims, where the stone thins it brightens — every pendant a unique fingerprint of warm light. Choose 7, 9, 16, 18, 24, 30 or 45 globes on brass hardware, black canopy. Each G9 LED (3W, 3000K) is included, replaceable and fully dimmable.

Weight is the planning constraint: marble is 2–3× denser than glass. A reinforced junction box suffices for the 7- and 9-light, a brace from 16 up, and joist mounting is mandatory for the 24- to 45-light — the 45-light weighs 75.0 lbs and drops 185 inches. From the 24-light up it takes two people — discuss ceiling support with your electrician.

Real Stone, Not Resin

Marble responds to dimming differently than glass — as you reduce output the veining becomes more visible and the stone shifts from bright translucent white to a deep, warm parchment tone. The weight is part of the experience: you sense the mass of these globes from across the room. They do not look like they could float; they look like they are being held, and the brass hardware and thin cables create a visual tension between the heaviness of the stone and the delicacy of the suspension.

Where It Fits

Dining room (7 or 9-light): the 7-light (11.8" dia) clusters tightly over a round 4-person table, the 9-light (13.8") covers 4–6 — casting warm, vein-patterned light directly onto the table.

Kitchen island (7 or 16-light): the 7-light centers over a 4-ft island, the 16-light (19.6") covers 5–6 ft, the brass coordinating with gold faucets and cabinet pulls.

Staircase or foyer (24, 30 or 45-light): the 24-light drops 107 inches for standard two-story spaces, the 45-light cascades 185 inches — sculptural and geological rather than ethereal.

The natural calcite crystal structure allows light to pass through while the veining creates unique shadow patterns within the stone. The effect is immediately visible and genuinely striking — most people are surprised the first time they see marble glow.
Q: Will every marble globe look the same? A: No, and this is intentional. Natural marble has unique veining patterns in every piece — no two globes will be identical. Some will have bold, dark veins; others will be more uniform and lighter. This variation is the core aesthetic value of natural stone. Q: Marble is heavy — at 75 lbs for 45 lights, is this safe to hang from a ceiling? A: Yes, with proper mounting. A standard junction box supports up to 50 lbs. For the 24-light (52 lbs) and above, joist mounting or an engineered ceiling brace rated for 100+ lbs is required. This is standard practice for any heavy chandelier and your electrician can install the necessary support in about 30 minutes. The fixture has passed UL safety testing at its full weight.
Q: Can marble chip or crack during normal use? A: Marble is durable for normal hanging use — the globes are not in contact with anything that would cause impact. The primary risk is during installation or cleaning if a globe is dropped. Each globe is removable, so cleaning and any necessary replacement can be done one at a time. Under our 4-year warranty, replacement globes ship free.
Q: How does the dimming effect look through marble specifically? A: Dimming through marble is more dramatic than through glass. At 100%, the stone appears bright and the veining is subtle. As you dim to 50%, the veining becomes more pronounced — dark veins stand out against the dimming background. At 20%, the marble shifts to a deep, warm parchment tone with veining clearly visible, like a candle behind thin stone. Many owners consider the 20–40% dimmed setting the most beautiful.
