Description

The Modern Glass Chandelier descends hand-blown 5.9-inch globes in a spiral helix from a round canopy, and asks two decisions. Glass: Sphere gives enclosed orbs with smooth surfaces that diffuse light evenly; Open gives cup forms with a wide top opening, so light escapes through the glass and directly upward as ceiling uplight. Finish: Black arms make a graphic skeleton where only the globes read; Brushed Brass catches the 3000K glow and returns an amber halo at each joint. Five light counts (5, 8, 10, 16, 32) give 20 configurations. Each E26 LED (5W) is included, replaceable and fully dimmable.

The 5-light (59") needs a 10 ft+ ceiling for dining, the 8-light (78.7") 12 ft+, the 10-light (98.5") 15 ft+ for standing clearance. The 32-light spans 35.5" and drops 275". Standard box for the 5- to 10-light; a reinforced brace from 16 up.

UL Listed (File E321074) · CE Certified · 110–240V · Free insured worldwide shipping · 30-day returns · 4-year warranty with free replacement parts.

Design & Craftsmanship

Your Spiral, Your Glass, Your Metal

E26 is the standard North American medium base — a bulb swap takes ten seconds with no tools, the most maintenance-friendly base available. Brushed brass differs from polished: a satin, matte surface with visible grain that absorbs and softens light rather than mirroring it. Dimmed to 20%, the helix compresses visually as the lower globes recede and the upper ones hold slightly more perceived brightness.

Where It Fits

Dining room (5 or 8-light): Brushed Brass with Sphere glass is the most popular dining combination — warm, soft and elegant. With cables shortened, subtract roughly 2 ft from the ceiling requirement.

Kitchen island (5-light): at an 11.8" canopy and 9.9 lbs it is compact enough for an island, and Open glass gives focused downlight for food preparation.

Staircase or foyer (16 or 32-light): the 16-light drops 137 inches, the 32-light 275 inches — nearly 23 feet of glass and light.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the difference between Sphere and Open glass? A: Sphere is a fully enclosed hand-blown globe — light diffuses evenly in all directions for a soft, uniform glow. Open has a wide aperture at the top — light escapes both through the glass walls and directly upward through the opening, creating a brighter ceiling wash and a more dynamic, directional light effect. Sphere is softer and more ambient. Open is brighter and more architectural.
Q: Black vs Brushed Brass — which one should I choose? A: Black disappears against the ceiling, making the glass globes the sole visual element — minimal, graphic, modern. Brushed Brass adds visible metallic warmth to every arm joint and the canopy — warmer, more tactile, more luxurious. For cool-toned rooms (white walls, marble, chrome): Black. For warm-toned rooms (wood, leather, earth tones): Brushed Brass. For mixed rooms: Brushed Brass is generally more forgiving.
Q: The 32-light version hangs 275 inches (23 feet) — is that really for a residential space? A: The 32-light version is designed for the tallest residential spaces — three-story foyers, grand stairwells, and custom-built homes with 30+ foot ceilings. It is also used in commercial installations (hotel lobbies, restaurant atriums, office building entries). For standard two-story foyers (14–18 feet), the 16-light version at 137 inches is better proportioned. Cables are adjustable for all heights.
Q: Can I combine different glass shapes and finishes in a custom order? A: Each fixture ships as one combination (e.g., Black Sphere or Brushed Brass Open). For a mixed installation (different shapes or finishes at different heights), purchase two separate configurations and have your electrician install them as a coordinated pair. Contact us to discuss multi-fixture layouts.
Q: At $705 for the 5-light — is this a good value for hand-blown glass? A: Yes. Comparable 5-light hand-blown glass spiral chandeliers from brands like Lindsey Adelman or Apparatus start at $3,000+. At $705, this fixture offers the same spiral form, E26 brightness-adjustable LEDs, and hand-blown glass craftsmanship at roughly one-quarter of the designer price, with free shipping and a 4-year warranty.
Q: How does the spiral look compared to a random-drop arrangement? A: A spiral descends in a structured, clockwise helix — visually rhythmic and orderly, especially effective in stairwells where the spiral echoes the stair curve. A random drop (like our Cluster Glass Chandelier) scatters globes at varied heights without pattern — more organic and unpredictable. Choose spiral for structured elegance, random for organic character.
Q: Does this work with 220V in Europe or Australia? A: Yes. Supports 110–240V worldwide. E26 bulbs are physically compatible with E27 sockets used in Europe and Australia.
