Description

The Staircase Raindrop Crystal Pendant has one job: turning a stairwell into the heart of the house. Ten, fifteen or twenty hand-cut K9 teardrops (4.0" × 5.1") spiral from a brass canopy, and the LED sits inside each crystal rather than above it, so the whole teardrop glows from within — a different effect from crystal lit from above. By day they throw small rainbows that move with the sun; after dark each becomes a glowing drop. Every 2W LED (3000K, CRI >90) is dimmable through a built-in triac driver, flicker-free from bright safety light to a low glow.

Sizes run 12.6" to 21.5" across, hanging 45" to 84" Plan on 10 ft minimum ceilings (ideal 12–20 ft), with 7 feet of clearance above the lowest step. The 15- and 20-pendant need a reinforced brace rated for 75+ lbs (the 20-pendant is 52.0 lbs), and a licensed electrician is required.

Crystal That Works Two Shifts

Even during the day with the LEDs off, the crystals refract ambient light and stay visually active — this is not a fixture that disappears when it isn't switched on. The brass canopy and hardware warm the otherwise cool sparkle, so the effect reads luxurious rather than cold. From the ground floor the cascade draws the eye to the top of the stairwell; from the landing above, the same crystals cluster into a glittering mass marking the centre of the home.

Where It Fits

Choosing a size: 10 pendants (12.6" across) for narrow stairwells or 10–12 ft ceilings; 15 pendants (18") for a standard two-story foyer; 20 pendants (21.5") for wide-open stairwells and grand entryways.

Staircase safety: the warm 3000K output fills the well evenly and prevents dark zones on treads and landings — the most common tripping hazard in multi-level homes.

Placement: centre the spiral in the stairwell opening so it reads from both levels. Custom canopy colour and cable length are available on request.
